Remodel of the Month: A Blue Beauty

When a family of seven asked us to remodel their well-loved kitchen, they had two clear goals for their transformation: bring in more light and make the space truly functional for a bustling household. What they didn’t expect was how breathtakingly personal the final result would be. A love of blue and classic touches pulled together into a lovely outcome.
A Remodeled Space That Reflects the Family
The heart of this remodel of the month is Sherwin-Williams Niebla Azul, a soft, elegant blue that set the tone for the entire space. To layer in warmth and personality, the family brought in cherished Tiffany-style lamps above the table and coordinating pendants at the island, instantly tying together old-world charm with fresh design. Behind the range, we created a one-of-a-kind focal point with a Blueberry Buckle recipe mural that the ladies of the house found and fell in love with. It’s not just art—it’s a conversation piece and a sentimental nod to a love of baking and gathering together in the kitchen. The design collaboration with the homeowners by Bucks Home & DIY Inc. really created all the details the Kitchen Me Now team needed to install this gorgeous kitchen.

Design Details That Matter
We used Shiloh cabinetry throughout, topped with a substantial crown to frame the room with a sense of presence and polish. An extended island replaced an awkward shape, offering more prep space while bringing order to the flow of the room. Improved storage solutions ensure that every drawer and cabinet works hard—critical for a family of seven with busy schedules. A new range hood both enhances cooking functionality and anchors the space visually.

From Tired to Timeless
This remodel wasn’t without surprises. A hidden water issue from upstairs meant extra work before we could get to the fun part, but once resolved, the upgrades came together beautifully. New flooring replaced the worn original, and thoughtful lighting choices dramatically brightened the room. Removing the plantation shutters that were keeping out the light added a sense of openness as well. The result is a kitchen that feels bigger, lighter, and infinitely more inviting.
The Outcome
What began as a challenge turned into a space that perfectly blends practicality and personality. The family now has a kitchen that not only functions for seven but also celebrates their story. And the verdict from the homeowners? They’re over the moon with their new kitchen—and we couldn’t be prouder.
