When this new homeowner stepped into her newly purchased house, she saw potential,

but it didn't reflect her style. With the help of Design Me Now, out went the traditional design, and in came a sleek, modern kitchen that balances warmth, texture, and function. With only a short window to move in and remodel before the holidays, the crew at Kitchen Me Now worked at pace to deliver a showpiece that feels both refined and relaxed.

A Modern Refresh with Subtle Warmth

The foundation of this transformation started with vanilla oak and white gloss cabinetry, paired with lighted white oak floating shelves by J. Thomas Home. The combination creates a soft, tonal contrast that feels bright and modern without losing the natural charm of wood. The cabinetry’s frameless construction maximizes space, offering sleek lines and easy access—perfect for a clean, uncluttered aesthetic.

Layout Reimagined for Function

The original design included a built-in desk that no longer fit the homeowner’s lifestyle. We removed it, relocated the refrigerator, and rebalanced the layout to make room for a double oven and added storage. The result is a kitchen that flows better, works harder, and feels more open.

Surfaces That Shine

A stunning White Macaubus Quartzite countertop steals the show—especially with its waterfall edges that cascade gracefully down the sides of the island. The natural veining of the stone brings subtle movement and luxury to the otherwise minimalistic palette.

Lighting That Sets the Tone

Lighting became the heartbeat of this remodel. The homeowner wanted flexibility, so we layered warm and cool tones that shift with the mood. There’s lighting above the cabinetry, on the floating shelves, and under the cabinets for functional brilliance and ambiance. Over the table and island, she selected retro-inspired fixtures that give the room an eclectic, modern edge—unique, inviting, and undeniably "her."

The Remodel's Finishing Touches

To complete the look, we added textured hardware—small but powerful details that tie the design together with depth and personality. The result? A remodeled kitchen that’s sleek and modern but never sterile, ready to handle daily life and dinner parties alike.
