Some remodels are about changing finishes to better suit their own personality, some are about updating and refreshing, others are about rethinking how a space works - this bathroom was all of the above. In Langhorne, PA, the Design Me Now team designed the space to feel calm yet brightened, organized, and easy to use every day. The original layout felt closed in, dark, and didn’t fully support how the homeowner wanted to use the space. Instead of working around those limitations, the design focused on improving flow, opening up key areas, and building in function from the start.
Rethinking the Layout

The biggest change in this project came from reworking the layout. The unused, oversized tub was removed and the shower relocated to create a more open feel and better use of space. A shower seat was added with a neatly integrated grab bar that blended into the design, serving a practical purpose for aging in place. Large format tile was used on the shower walls to keep the space feeling open, while the marble mosaic added detail at the floor, niche and as an accent in the backsplash at the vanity. The niche was designed with lighting, creating both a functional storage area and a subtle ambient feature.
Design That Supports Daily Use
A big part of this remodel was making sure the space works for everyday routines.
The vanity and storage were built using Shiloh Cabinetry, with soft details making it feel more like furniture than cabinetry. Storage was designed into the layout, including a pullout hamper and a powered grooming organizer that allows styling tools to stay powered, but neatly tucked away. A new makeup vanity with more space and storage was created to dedicate room and relaxation while getting ready for the day.
A Soft, Layered Design

The overall look of the space leans into soft, feminine neutrals that feel relaxed without being flat. The cabinetry was accented with natural shell hardware, adding subtle texture and contrast. The plumbing fixtures helped carry the gold tones throughout, bringing consistency to the design. On the floor, a beautiful wood tile grounded the space without with a natural feel, while serving a practical purpose in the bathroom. The wall colors brought the natural pinks out of the marble and created a soft backdrop for the feminine furnishings and decor.
Lighting also played a key role in lighting the space and ensuring that it felt bright and not heavy for the homeowner.
The End Result
What was once a closed-off and dated bathroom is now a space that feels open, connected, and more like a relaxing getaway. The layout supports daily routines, storage is built in where it’s needed, and every detail was chosen to contribute to a cohesive design. This is a great example of how thoughtful planning and the right materials can completely change how a space looks and functions.
